Click-through rate

What is click-through rate?

Click-through rate (CTR) measures how many people clicked on a link compared to how many people saw it. It's a handy way to gauge how well your ads, emails or organic content are performing. 📊

How do you calculate CTR?

Divide the number of clicks by the number of impressions (views), then multiply by 100 to get a percentage. For example, if 500 people saw your email and 50 clicked the link, your CTR would be 10%.

CTR is used across a range of marketing channels — from paid ads and email campaigns to Google Shopping and social media. A low CTR could mean your copy or imagery isn't compelling enough, or you're targeting the wrong audience.
