ASIN
If you're selling on Amazon, you'll come across ASINs pretty quickly. Every product listed on Amazon's marketplace is assigned a unique ASIN — a 10-character mix of letters and numbers — to help Amazon identify and organise its catalogue. 📦
ASINs are specific to Amazon. Unlike GTINs or EANs, they're not a universal standard recognised across the wider retail industry. If you're selling a product that already exists on Amazon, your listing will share the same ASIN as other sellers of that product.
If you're listing a brand new product, Amazon will generate a new ASIN for you when you create the listing.
